About
I took my my first photographs when I was 12 years old. Camera was my father’s Agfa Isolette. Since then, photography has always been a part of my life. During my career as a research scientist I used camera as a tool for documentation and I learnt the secrets of photo microscopy and macrophotography.
After I retired I started to take photography more seriously and in 2004 I submitted my first photographs to international salons and since then my photographs have been accepted in numerous salons in 18 countries around the world. I officially received AFIAP (Artiste de la Fédération Internationale de l´Art Photographique) distinction.on May 9, 2011.
My background as a life scientist influences the choice of the subjects and many of my photographs are of flowers or landscapes, seldom people. I shoot both film and digital. When shooting on film I use both small and medium format cameras and recently I have purchased my first large format (4 x 5) camera.
